TL;DR Just some of the my favorite themes for vs-code, cos the default sucks!

I have been a fan of dark themes for a long time. It all started when I read a blog post which compared light themes with starting at a light blub and trying to read the letters on the bulb.

Yep themes rock, I’ve tried out so many over the years, and I do like to change every now and again. Let’s face it even the best theme can become boring after using it for a year or more. So it’s time to switch things up. Right now most of my work is done using vs-code and below are my top pick for themes glory.

Don’t stick with the vs-code default theme, it’s yuk

Simple Bright and Elegant

This is easy to install, just get it from the extension market place.

Solorized - This one started the revolution

Monokai - I see this everywhere

Gruvbox - Oh I liked this one so much, now not so much
